About us

THE LIONS CLUB SWAKOPMUND was founded in the year 1959 as the fifth Lions Club in Southern Africa and second Club in the then South West. At present the club has 26 members. Its core project the Lions Old Age Home is run by the Swakopmund Lions Welfare Organization WO 13, a registered charitable society acting as a committee of the club. None of the club members are financially compensated for the enormous time expended in respect of all its projects.

Meetings

We meet every month on the 2nd Thursday for a business meeting and every month on the last Friday for a social "TGIF". Both meetings take place in our den, situated in Luederitz Str c/o Rhode Allee. The entrance is in Luederitz Str.
